Rise High and Pull Close: How to Keep It Together Pt. 1

Beauty & Style

“Gabby the Gapper”

Definition: Busty women wearing shirts that are too small. This includes button down shirts that gap at the breast, and blazers that will not button over the breast.

Fashion Advice:

Wear V-neck or low cut round neck tops and blouses. In addition, long change necklaces draw the eyes down, thus elongating the neck and bringing attention to your face.

Also, wear button down shirts (in your size…no your real size) as a layering piece, not the main staple of clothing. Roll up the sleeves and belt it to create a waist, so as to not have a boxy appearance.

Finally, when wearing blazers always make sure that the jacket buttons and that you can raise your arms. If you are having a hard time finding one is your size, opt for button-less open blazers that are structured or slightly loose cardigans.

 “Low Rise Lola”

Definition:  Belly and Bootylious women wearing low rise jeans exposing way too much. Often times, it is their rear ends and lower back, all the while and creating unsightly muffin tops.

Fashion Advice:

Buy midrise or high waist. Midrise jean cover any excess tummy one may have, while high waist  jeans (those that are secured above your belly button) lifts and pulls it. These two types often shapes a curvy woman’s derrière quite nicely.
